Every performer below has a page listing the films they are credited on. The index is deliberately partial: it covers the people this reference has something to say about, rather than reaching for every name in circulation. Where an actor appears in a film whose sequel is tracked, the two pages link to each other.

Sorting is by surname. Generational suffixes are ignored for filing, and names that place the family name first are filed by that name rather than by whichever word happens to come last, a small thing that decides whether an index is usable or merely alphabetical.

A filmography is more useful when it says something a credit list cannot. The most common genuinely interesting fact about a working actor is not what they have been in but which two of those films nobody thinks of together, the horror sequel and the prestige drama, the franchise instalment and the small feature that came out the same year. Those overlaps are what these pages are built to surface, and they are also what the daily games on this site are made from.

Directors sit in their own section at the end. Four of these pages cover people who made films rather than appeared in them, and folding them in among the performers would misdescribe the credit.

Why are directors listed on an actor index?

Because four of them cover directors rather than performers. Rather than hide them or file them as actors, they sit in their own section at the foot of the index: the credit is different, so the grouping should be too.

How are the names sorted?

By surname, with the generational suffix ignored — John Gallagher Jr. files under G, not J. Names that do not follow the western given-name-then-surname order are filed by their family name regardless of position, so Ahn Seo-hyun appears under A.

What is on an individual actor page?

The films that performer is credited on, and where those films connect to something else on this site, a tracked sequel, or another cast they appear in. The point of a filmography here is the connections, since a bare list of titles is available anywhere.

Why these performers and not others?

The index covers the people this reference already has pages for, which is a specific set rather than an attempt at completeness. A thin page for every working actor would be worse than a useful page for some.
