Cara Delevingne Says She’s “Pretty Sure” Enchantress Isn’t in ‘Suicide Squad 2’

With the DCEU trying to constantly compete with Marvel’s ever growing line up of characters and amount of movies, Warner Bros. has begun to start the process of trying to plan out their sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad. While it is still very early in the planning stages of the sequel, we have begun to wonder who will
be returning to reprise their roles in the sequel and who will be left out.

One of the positives about a movie and set of characters like the Suicide Squad is that in the comic books, Amanda Waller is constantly swapping out characters from the team depending on the type of mission she wants carried out. This leaving us wondering which characters will and will not return for the the sequel. When USA Today discussed with actress Cara Delevingne on whether or not we can expect to see her in the sequel, she responded that she is “pretty sure” her character would not be in the sequel. Also saying “Of course I’d do another one, but I don’t think it would make sense for the character.” Thus leaving us with a good clue that we will be without Enchantress in the sequel.

While it is disappointing we won’t get to see a different side of Enchantress, it leaves me wondering what they will do with the relationship between her character and Joel Kinnaman’s character Colonel Rick Flag and whether or not they will just completely scrap the relationship all together or just reference it. Personally I think it would be a waste if they scrap it all together seeing that a large portion of Rick Flag’s story revolved around his love for June Moone and the length’s he was willing to go for her. I think it would be cool if somehow Delevingne’s June Moone was norma,l but somehow Enchantress slowly starts to make her way back into her life, but instead of world domination, she joins the Suicide Squad.

What do you think? Do you think we are better off without Enchantress in the sequel or is it better see be left out all together? Let me know in the comments below!
