While we’ve been anticipating the release of tickets for Avengers: Endgame for the last few days, we had no idea that it would also come with a brand new look at the film. As tickets went on sale at 8 AM this morning, so did a brand new, but quick 1-minute trailer for the blockbuster. The film will pick-up the story that Avengers: Infinity War left us off with, as the remaining Avengers are picking up the pieces and continuing to fight any way they can to have any chance at undoing Thanos’ act of laying waist to half the universe.

Full disclosure, I have not and will not be watching the footage that was released. Although I could have easily walked into the theater later this month without seeing a single second of anything, let’s face it, none of us have the ability to do that when it comes to a movie like this. Luckily, Marvel kept their promise and have shown/revealed very little about the film. Through the first two trailers, with the second being released just two weeks ago, not only have we seen plenty to hold us over until its release, but that footage is as mysterious as it can possibly get. I still feel as if I know nothing going in. Sure, we theorize and discuss and even throw out wild theories, but we truly don’t know what the footage is telling us, and it’s a great feeling.

The movie is as big as any blockbuster can possibly get. Not only have early statistics pointed at the film breaking the opening weekend record for both the domestic and international box-office, which includes a possible ridiculously and almost unbelievable $840 million worldwide on its opening weekend, but when the ticket flood gates opened this morning, theaters sold out in minutes (some claiming in just 4 minutes) and websites crashed and had to use lengthy waitlists as fans everywhere were rushing to get their seats. It just shows the kind of power this film brings to the table, and in more way than one.

Although I don’t get the chance to see it first (you damn East Coasters), myself and the group I go with snagged tickets to the earliest showing. The endgame is near.
