Tuesday morning treat! Marvel Studios has seemingly begun the true marketing beginnings for next month’s massive Avengers: Endgame, a film that will be the wrap up the last ten years of storytelling for Marvel. As promised by Studio head Kevin Feige, and Endgame‘s directors Joe and Anthony Russo, promos and the lead up to its release won’t show anything passed the first fifteen or twenty minutes of the movie, making sure there is nothing spoiled or ruined for fans. Marvel understands the magnitude of this film to fans everywhere, and thankfully they are willing to take a much different approach to marketing than most studios would.

With showing a ridiculous amount of footage out the window, the studio must take a different approach to keep it in the public eye, even though it doesn’t need to be. With it officially now just a month away from hitting theaters, Marvel gave us some sweet goodies today in the form of character posters. These posters are as simple as they come, but incredibly vibrant and powerful at the same time. Footage has obviously only show the heroes who remain with us, but these posters give each and every one of them a one-sheet to be remembered by. Those who are still with us will be seen in color and those who “dusted” at the hand of Thanos, black and white just as they were shown in the first trailer for the film.

The two biggest takeaways from these posters are Valkyrie and Shuri. Valkyrie was last seen Thor: Ragnarok, with no mention of her or her whereabouts at the beginning of Infinity War. It was later revealed that she led a group of refugees off the ship that Thanos and the Black Order attacked at the beginning of the film. It was officially revealed whether or not she made it passed the dusting, but thanks to these posters, Tessa Thompson seems to officially be joining the fight the remaining Avengers will be taking to Thanos. And thank goodness as not only is she extremely powerful, but she’s an incredible character as well.

As for Shuri, it was never fully confirmed what happened to the Princess of Wakanda. The last time we saw her in Infinity War she was alive, but it was neve shown whether or not she was dusted. The first trailer for Endgame showed her as “missing,” but it was never confirmed by anyone what happened. While most of believed “missing” points to being dusted, these posters officially confirm that she blew away in the wind alongside her brother T’Challa.

These posters are just another incredible piece of marketing added to this film. So far, Marvel Studios has nailed every single thing they’ve put out, while also keeping their word on showing a lot. Usually by now, we’d already have three trailers, images and a load of TV spots. We barely have any of that for this film and it’s paying off big time. Every time something is released, social media goes into an apocalyptic breakdown, something that very few films are capable of doing. With tickets yet to go on sale, rumored to be happening next week, the release of these poster today and the reaction they were given is another clear sign that Endgame could very well end up as the biggest film to ever be released.
