A Wizard Made Asher Angel Look Like Zachary Levi in a New ‘Shazam!’ Clip

Warner Bros. has released a new official clip for their one and only comic book property of 2019: Shazam!. Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! follows a 14-year-old foster kid named Billy Batson, who has been given the gift every young kid wants, the chance to be a superhero. Still a kid at heart, Billy must master his newfound powers to prepare for the fight that’s headed his way thanks to the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam! has been a hot commodity from the very beginning for most. It made fans believe in the project with a trailer during last year’s San Diego Comic Con, then to only bring a solid amount of confidence with footage that followed. With a promise that the movie is BIG in the superhero world, trailers have delivered on that notion, and so has word of mouth. Early screenings have been happening all over the country, with more than just a handful claiming it’s their favorite DCEU movie to be released yet. That’s a bold statement considered the revelation that Wonder Woman was and how much stinking money Aquaman made. It leaves us all very interested and excited to see what this movie is all about, with the hope that it truly does hit the mark.

With the movie just being a week away, WB has steadily be keeping up with its marketing, this time releasing an official clip for your viewing pleasure. While it isn’t too revealing, according to the title, it gives viewers who may still be undecided about the project, to get a true sense of what it will feel like in motion. Trailers sometimes give off the wrong vibe, and while I don’t believe that to be the case here, this clip is another great option pick from.

Check out the new clip below, and after you do so, head down to the comments section to leave your thoughts on everything Shazam!. Is Zachary Levi the best choice for the role? Have you enjoyed the trailers? Could it truly be the best DCEU movie? Also starring Also starring Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer and Mark Strong, Sandberg’s Shazam! flies into theaters on April 5th.
