Special Look Trailer for ‘Captain Marvel Released; See 3 Exclusive New Posters!

The College Football National Championship finally arrived on Monday night and with it came a brand new look at one of the many highly anticipated Disney movies being released this year, Captain Marvel. While the character of Carol Danvers is a very unknown hero to many, the Marvel name and leading lady of Brie Larson is plenty enough to get butts in the seat. In fact, tickets went on sale earlier today and the word around town is that many showings are already completely sold out, something that only the Avengers movies have done for the MCU so far. If that is the case, we could see massive numbers for Captain Marvel, massive enough to become Marvel’s highest grossing solo adventure. It’s a big hill to climb, but this movie definitely has the potential to do it.

The trailer itself is totally badass. It gives off a completely different vibe from previously trailers. The only down side for me personally is that it revealed a ton of new scenes that we haven’t seen. I highly doubt anything major was spoiled, but for a movie like this one, it’s always quite nice to jump into the theater with seeing as little as possible.

The posters are also fantastic additions to the marketing line-up for the film. For every big film, IMAX, Dolby Digital and REALD 3D all release exclusive posters, with Captain Marvel definitely fitting that build. Each of them are beautiful in their outright, but the REALD 3D one-sheet is a complete stunner in my opinion. It’s easily the one I would pin up in my hallway, although, it’s hard to vote against the IMAX poster as it’s the one I could potentially be walking out of the theater with. Either way, this is another great step for this film to get those who don’t already know excited for what’s coming.

What do you think? How did you like the special look? What about the posters? Which one is your personal favorite? Are you looking forward to the movie? Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and also starring Also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg and Jude Law, Captain Marvel lands in theaters on March 8th, 2019.
