Pixar seems to be holding nothing back when it comes to Toy Story 4, as the cast for this movie is huge and seems to only be getting bigger. All of your favorite toys and their voice actors will be returning, including some old friends we haven’t seen in a while as Annie Potts is returning for the voice Woody’s long time love interest, Boo Peep. We also have gotten confirmation, via the teaser trailers, introductions to the new characters that we are going to be meeting along the way. Tony Hale will be playing a “spork” named Forky, while Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will be playing stuffed animals at a carnival named Ducky and Bunny. Also Patricia Arquette has been announced as a voice actor but her role has not been announced. While their are sure to be many more new characters, one interesting name was recently announced that absolutely nobody knew about, Keanu Reeves.

Tim Allen was on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, he dropped the surprise news on everyone that Keanu Reeves was apart of the cast. Nobody knew about this and it came as a complete surprise to fans. Keanu Reeves is obviously famous for his role in a ton of movies including The Matrix, John Wick, and many others. In the article reported by Deadline, Tim Allen said,

“Keanu Reeves has got a great part. Actually, a little inside story [about Reeves]: Even he said — gentle, wonderful guy that he is — ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear.’ And his character does have an edge to that. And the guy said, ‘So we calmed him down a little bit,’ and they reminded me his toy is only that big.”

While there is a lot of information that we previously didn’t know, obviously that Keanu Reeves is involved, we also learned that his toy is “only that big.” This could be a clue that Reeves’ character may be a big voice but the character is one that is going to be small in size. We also know that he has a “does have an edge”, which means he might be a tough talking guy whose size doesn’t necessarily represent his edge. This could be hilarious on the big screen seeing a big acting voice playing such a small character. For all we know though his character could even be the villain of the movie. So until we get confirmation on who he is playing, everyone will have to guess.
