Things Get Even Filthier in a New Red Band Trailer for ‘The Happytime Murders’

The world was absolutely blown away by the first trailer for The Happytime Murders. Not only was it completely unexpected, but the fact that they took the training wheels off and actually went there, it was completely shocking. It instantly went from a movie that no one knew about to one of the most looked forward to movies of the rest of the year, and that seems to only continue in its latest reveal.

The Happytime Murders blends the two worlds of humans and puppets (not muppets) in the most inappropriate way possible, which is exactly why it looks so damn good. Usually a story like this would offend a hell of a lot of people, and this movie could very well do that, but for the most part I only see people who are losing their mind and just ready to see what else this movie has to offer.

The first trailer took filthy comedies to a whole new level, and it’s only stepped up another notch in a brand new red band trailer. Red band meaning that the training wheels are once again off, so you’ve been warned if something, unexpected, pops up on your screen.

Check out the new trailer below and after doing so, leave your thoughts in the comments section! How much are you looking forward to it? Is it just dirty enough for you? Does it kind of make you uncomfortable? Directed by Brian Henson and starring Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale and Elizabeth Banks, The Happytime Murders is released in theaters on August 24th.

THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is a filthy comedy set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show.
