New ‘Bad Times at the El Royale’ Character Posters Highlight Its Amazing Cast

20th Century Fox has unveiled the official character posters for their upcoming film Bad Times at the El Royale. Directed by Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods), the story is set at a hotel that sits directly on the state line of California and Nevada. While it’s fun and games to begin with picking which state you want to stay in, the story quickly unravels as the guests, all of the guests, aren’t who they say they are.

This might be the one film I’m looking forward to the most for the rest of the year. I’ve really enjoyed Goddard’s work in the past, specifically his work on The Cabin in the Woods and show running season one of Daredevil on Netflix. He hasn’t directed dozens of different projects, but his writing and producing credits speak for itself. He is in-line to direct X-Force with Deadpool, Cable and others, but with the whole Disney-Fox thing going on, it’s not a certain that film will happen. In the meantime, I’ll be looking forward to his and these type of projects that will follow for Goddard.

Outside of Goddard, the cast for this one may be the best we’ve seen all year (outside of infinity War, duh). It’s a phenomenally diverse and talented list that includes veterans, high-profile names and newcomers the world is seeing for the first time. It leaves me incredibly excited to see these actors and actresses portray such deep characters in a story that requires the best of the best. Like I said earlier, I’m reaaaally looking forward to this one.

Check out the new character posters below! What do you think of the style and design? How about the cast? Is it the best we’ve seen this year so far? Starring Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman and Nick Offerman, Goddard’s Bad Times at the El Royale opens everywhere on October 12th.

Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption… before everything goes to hell.
