Kristen Stewart Eyed for ‘Batgirl’

At one point in time we had heard that Batgirl was going to be apart of the Birds of Prey movie. As you know that movie will be bringing a handful of DC comics famous females for a team up movie. While we never got an official list of characters, the names that have been thrown out were Harley Quinn, Huntress, Black Canary, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. The only one that has been confirmed is Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

While there hasn’t been any other news of castings for characters or who will be in the movie, one rumor is that Batgirl will not be in the movie. However, just because Batgirl isn’t in it, it doesn’t mean that the civilian version of Batgirl, Barbara Gordon, won’t be in it. Warner Bros. has however shown interest in a Batgirl solo film which has kicked off the casting rumors.

Apparently Warner Bros. has said that they are eyeing a “Kristen Stewart Prototype” to play the role of Barbara Gordon. Twitter’s DanielRPK, who is known for being right quite a bit when it comes to rumors about the DCEU was the one to report about the actress and that type that Warner Bros. was looking to cast. While there is no news if Kristen Stewart would even be interested it is said that she is close to signing on for Elizabeth Banks’ Charlie’s Angels remake which could get in the way of making a Batgirl film.

I personally am not a fan of Kristen Stewart. I think she acts the same and basically plays the same character in every movie she is in. But what do you think? Do you think Kristen Stewart is a good choice for Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, or is someone else better suited for the role? Let us know in the comments below!
