‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Officially Announced to Return; Watch the First Trailer!

For die hard fans, San Diego Comic Con started off with a BANG today. The 10th anniversary panel for the fan-favorite animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars was earlier today and fans in attendance got a huge surprise as Star Wars animation genius Dave Filoni brought the news that the show would be making a return next year on Disney’s hot-news streaming service!

The beloved show is making a much-wanted return with 12 all-new episodes next year. But that’s not all! Filoni also brought a trailer along with him and it’s amazing! It’s full of easter eggs and references and any major Star Wars fans will freak out as they watch the glorious new footage.

The show was abruptly halted years ago and although the so-called “The Lost Missions” were released following the show’s cancellation, the story was far, far from over. Now, Filoni and his team will be able to finish the story like he always intended and f**k I could not be more excited. Disney and Lucasfilm tried to fill that gap with Star Wars Rebels, but since the show’s take place years apart, there’s a time period that can still be told and fans let them know that. It must’ve been loud enough as the show is finally making a return.

As I mentioned earlier, Filoni brought some footage along with him, and you can now watch it below! What do you think of this news? Is this the day you’ve been waiting for? What type of things do you hope we see? Dark Disciple storyline anyone? Look out for Star Wars: The Clone Wars next year of Disney’s new streaming service!
