Almost everyone by now has belted out or at least heard the famous “Let It Go” line from the original Frozen movie. Disney has cashed in huge on the success of the hit movie as it made $1.3 Billion dollars world-wide from the movie alone and millions upon millions of dollars from merchandising the film as well as even spawning its own ride at Disney World. So obviously what would be the smartest move for Disney with this brand, a sequel of course!
While we already knew a sequel has been planned for a while, we haven’t really heard much coming from Disney about the sequel. We had heard that obviously Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Josh Gad would all be reprising their roles but we have yet to hear anything about if Jonathan Graff would be reprising his role in the sequel. Other than that we haven’t heard much until today. Variety has reported that the newest two cast members to have joined the sequel are Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown. It is unknown who the two will be playing or what role they will contribute to the movie at the time but with two big names like that you can expect more than a small part.
The sequel will be directed by original Frozen directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck. Frozen 2 has been set for a November 27th, 2019 release date right in time for the holiday season.
