First ‘Glass’ Poster Teases M. Night Shyamalan’s Highly-Anticipated Crossover

It was officially revealed that director M. Night Shyamalan is going to be bringing his highly-anticipated crossover Glass to San Diego Comic-Con later this month, and to celebrate the announcement, the first official poster for the film has been released. The sequel/crossover is the long-in-the-making love child of two of Shyamalan’s most beloved films, Unbreakable and SplitGlass will indeed bring back each of its stars – James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson – and we now have our first look.

This is truly a fantastic teaser poster. It does actually what it should do and get us interested. While details are pretty slim at this point, it’s thought that most of the film will take place in a mental institution where these characters believe they are superheroes. Those characters are, of course, McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb, Willis’ David Dunn and Jackson’s Elijah Price. But that’s not the big news…

Shyamalan dropped the poster on his official Twitter, page, which came with a tweet revealing that the first bit of footage for the sequel will be shown to fans at SDCC, and hopefully thereafter online for those who aren’t in attendance.

This film’s marketing will be a huge piece of its success, more than most. It’s not a traditional trilogy, as Split‘s connection to Shyamalan’ previous work was kept completely quiet until the end of the movie. While it’s out in the open, more than most and even fans of Unbreakable have no idea of its connection, making the lead-up to the movie more important than most. Either way, this poster definitely gets me, and I’m sure you, wanting more. Glass is slated for released on January 18th, 2019.
