Quentin Tarantino is known for being quite the controversial and highly acclaimed director with movies such as Kill Bill, Django Unchained, and Pulp Fiction. But recently he has decided to take on the real life horror story that was the Manson Family murders and turn it into his next film called Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. While not much is known, what we do know is “A former Western star (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double (Brad Pitt) struggle to find success in a Hollywood that they don’t recognize anymore during the Charles Manson murders in 1969 Los Angeles.”
The movie is half fiction/half truth as it will take place in realtime 1969 Los Angeles with some of the actors portraying real people like Margot Robbie who will portray the late Sharon Tate and actor Damian Lewis will be playing Country Western actor Steve McQueen. Other actors like Al Pacino, Brad Pitt, and Leonardo DiCaprio are all playing fictitious characters. Not to much is known more than that but the cast is loaded with all stars.
The cast consists of (From Top Left To Right) Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, Kurt Russell, Clifton Collins Jr., Damian Lewis, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Burt Reynolds.
(From Bottom Left To Right) Leonardo DiCaprio, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, James Marsden, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant, Luke Perry, and Zoe Bell. Also not pictured is Scoot McNair who was recently cast.
With a cast like this it would be hard pressed to imagine anything but spectacular but that will be left to be seen as we find out more. The movie has begun filming and is set to be released on August 9th, 2019; the 50th anniversary of the Manson murders at 10050 Cielo Drive.
