New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Images Offer a Great Look at Its Construction

Disney and Marvel Studios has revealed a new batch of images for their next major superhero blockbuster, Ant-Man and the Wasp. The new stills offer a fantastic behind-the-scenes look at director Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as they maneuver they’re way around some very impressive set pieces for the sequel. Take a closer look below.

These are some very fun images. It’s rare we get so many bts looks at such a major film, but Marvel has always granted fans access through images or even featurettes. The first movie was on the smaller scale, but taking these new images into account, the sequel definitely going for something bigger this time around. And so far, it looks like it’s going to be just as fun, or even more, than the original.

Peyton Reed is back in the director’s chair as he delivers a story that brings together both Scott Lang (Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Lilly) to work their way into the quantum realm to search for Hope’s mother, Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer). But per usual, complications arise as Ghost (Hannah John-Komen), the film’s protagonist, shows up with similar tech to make things worse for our favorite tiny heroes.

Take a look at the new images below, and make sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments. How do you feel about the sequel so far? Are you just as excited as I am to finally see Wasp? How do you think it will end? Also starring Michael Pena, Walter Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, T.I., Randall Park, Laurence Fishburne and Michael Douglass, Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp flies into theaters on July 6th.
