‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ Releases New Poster; Trailer Drops Tomorrow

Our favorite Lego characters are back and tomorrow we will get to see what they have been up too since The Lego Movie. In 2014 Warner Bros. gave us the first installment of The Lego Movie, which blew expectations out of the water bringing in $469.1 million worldwide, leaving many to crave a sequel.

The plot for the film is as follows: The Lego Movie 2

“5 years after the events of the first film, the heroes from the first film face a new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the Lego universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored and musical worlds.”

The first movie had an all-star cast and the sequel seems to be making sure to do the same. Most of the characters returning can be seen in the poster for the sequel. Chris Pratt will return as the lead character Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Will Arnett as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Alison Brie as Unikitty, Charlie Day as Benny, Nick Offerman as MetalBeard. Additionally not in the poster but set to return is Channing Tatum as Clark Kent/Superman, Jonah Hill as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern. Tiffany Haddish has also been cast in an unknown role. Could she be the villain since Will Ferrell’s Lord Business has not been announced to return? Only time will tell as the movie is set for release in February 2019.
