Jennifer Garner Wants Bloody Revenge in the Kick-Ass First ‘Peppermint’ Trailer

While she isn’t around as much as she used to be, Jennifer Garner is one of the best-working actresses today. These days, she’s enjoying choosing roles that are heavy on the drama, but remember when she had an action mode years ago? Whether or not you do, we’ll be seeing it again real soon. Garner now has her very own action movie coming called Peppermint. It isn’t just your everyday action or spy thriller. No no no, this is drawing very strong comparisons to John Wick, and now after seeing the first trailer, I understand why.

Garner as Elektra back in the day wasn’t the greatest thing in the world, but remember how dominant she was in the role? I may be in the minority, but I think this woman can kick some total ass if the character or movie ever came calling. Luckily for us, it did. I really dig this trailer. It looks brutal in the best ways possible. I love me some hardcore action revenge flicks, and this looks to feature a strong sense of revenge within its tale.

I was also dragged on just a bit more when it was revealed that the director of Taken is behind this. It no doubt has a complete John Wick vibe, but it’s far more grounded, which also makes it feel like Taken. Remember the action and buzz when that movie came out? Maybe the director can capture the same magic, this time with a hungry Jennifer Garner.

Check out the first trailer below and make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments! Do you feel the same about the trailer as I do? Are you looking forward to it? Also starring John Gallagher Jr. and John Ortiz, Peppermint will be released on September 7th.
