Dylan O’Brien and Maika Monroe are two of the young, hot talents working in the business today. O’Brien starred in his own franchise, The Maze Runner, while appearing in a number of other big projects as well. Monroe, while only in one major blockbuster (even though it was a flop – Independence Day: Resurgence), broke out thanks to her performances in both It Follows and The Guest. Both have experience in genre work, which makes them the perfect fit as co-stars for The Education of Frederick Fitzell.
There isn’t a whole lot out on the project at the moment, other than it’ll be directed by Christopher MacBride and focus on the character played by O’Brien. Here’s a very quick runover thank to JoBlo:
A man who begins to unravel a long hidden mystery about a missing girl, a drug called Mercury, and a terrifying creature that has followed him into adulthood.
I’m really intrigued in seeing O’Brien and Monroe work together. I’ve enjoyed both of them on screen for years now, and with just the simple summary above, my interest is definitely high. While I don’t know much about the director, I’ll remain very excited until I see anything that makes me think otherwise. The Eduction of Frederick Fitzell doesn’t have a set release date as of yet.
