Terry Gilliam is a one-of-a-kind filmmaker. He does nothing as everyone else, rather creating passion in the most unconventional way possible. His body of work shows nothing else. For those who adore the work he provides, it’s been what feels like a long 5 years of waiting since his last project, The Zero Theorem. Thankfully, the patience seems to have paid off, as the first official trailer for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote has finally arrived!
The last time I heard anything about this film was early last year, where production had just finished on the film. While this film has had quite a long road to getting the big screen treatment, once Amazon Studios jumped on board, it pretty much happened in the blink of an eye. And it looks to be paying off. Every bit of this footage is clearly handled by Gilliam and the unique perspective he brings to a film set. I have little experience with Gilliam’s work, especially compared to many other experts in our field, but I can’t tell you how excited I am to get something completely out of the realm of movies we get on a constant basis.
