After months of basically being a no-show, we now have another great look at Deadpool 2. When it comes to Deadpool, the marketing approach the film took was easily the most talked about in years, possibly ever. So much so that it’s one of the more exciting aspects of the sequel. Now the sequel doesn’t hit until next summer, but Fox is giving us fans what we want, this time in the form of the films first official teaser poster.
The poster continues the trend from the first movie is keeping everything personal, this time focusing on the family style feast of the Deadpool family. In the image we can see all the major players from the first are making a return alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, just to be joined by two massive newcomers in Josh Brolin’s Cable and Zazie Beetz Domino.
Because the marketing strategy was such a monumental pay-off from the first movie, it’s no surprise that Fox would have complete trust in the team behind it. It helped the studio gain a staggering $783 million off of a film that took over a decade to be green-lit. But don’t worry, this poster acts as just the first of many sweet Deadpool goodies we’ll be getting over the next 7 months.
Directed by John Wick and Atomic Blonde helmer David Leitch, Deadpool 2 has a June 1st, 2018 release date and also stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggamsl, Stefan Kapicic, and Karan Soni.
