Surprise! A New ‘Black Panther’ Trailer Has Been Released!

Marvel has done it again. To begin the week off on a massive high for everyone, Marvel surprised everyone with a brand new trailer for Black Panther this morning. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale StationCreed) and stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, who, after being thrust into a conflict between two of the same sides after the assassination of his father, returns home where his life as King and Black Panther are tested when a powerful old enemy reappears, putting his homeland and the entire world at risk.

This trailer is absolutely insane. And in a completely good way. This is how a trailer should be crafted and used. It features anything and everything to get you excited for the film. Not only does it show-off a ton of beautiful action scenes and the gorgeous look (costume and set design) of the film, but it also expresses the style of the film that is held by Black Panther and Black Panther only. Taika Waititi’s Thor:Ragnarok is now just a few weeks away and with the emergence of this trailer for a February 2018 release, one can only hope that we continue to see Marvel use this trend of believing in the filmmakers they hire to make their own vision of the film. Both Ragnarok and Black Panther are products of that, and they look like they could be two of the MCU’s best solo films to date.

Check out the breathtaking new trailer below and make sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments below. How does it look to you? How much are you looking forward to it? Also, don’t forget to watch my live reaction to the trailer, which was released earlier this morning. Coogler’s Black Panther holds a February 18th, 2018 release date and also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
