The Jaw-Dropping Official ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Poster Has Been Released!

It has begun! To prepare fans for what’s coming later this evening, Lucasfilm has released the official poster for Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The poster is a clear departure from Star Wars posters of the past, and man is it a site of beauty.

I can’t describe how much I love the darker coloring and tone this film is giving us thus far. It began with the official logo when the title was announced, then the first teaser which shocked fans with the line “it’s time for the Jedi to end.” Now with this new poster, it’s clear that Johnson has not only taken the franchise to new heights, but that tonight’s trailer may feature a moment or two that will completely shock fans in ways that may have them questioning the direction the director has taken the sequel.

I may or may not be taking to the camera to do a poster and trailer breakdown some time in the next day, so I’m withholding my complete thoughts until then. For now, let’s just say that’s it’s easily the most beautiful thing I’ve seen today other than my girlfriend and 10-month old puppy.

But enough with what I think, what do you think? Do you like the coloring? How about the structure of Luke, Rey and Kylo Ren? How much are you looking forward to the trailer? Also, make sure to come back later for my thoughts on the brand new trailer, which should be dropping within the hour. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released in a theater near you on December 15th.
