Here’s an Official High-Res Look at the Iron Spider Suit from ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

After weeks and a second fan tease last weekend at San Diego Comic Con, we now have our official look at the Iron Spider suit from the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The suit, which was designed by none other than Tony Stark, was teased in the final moments of Homecoming earlier this month, which was then followed by an appearance on the official SDCC poster for Avengers: Infinity War last weekend. Peter Parker wasn’t the only one with an updated look, as Steve Rogers is now rocking a manly beard in full Nomad and Black Widow has gone off the grid with blonde hair. But out of all the new looks on the poster and the SDCC teaser that was shown to those in attendance, our favorite web-slinger was the standout.

Parker’s Spider-Man has only been in the MCU for two films, but just as most characters in the universe, he’s getting a major upgrade to take on Thanos and his allies in Infinity War. The Iron Spider suit is arguably one of the more popular upgrades the character has gotten. And when it was revealed that Stark would become a mentor to Parker, fans everywhere knew that it was only a matter of time until he put it on. But although most of us think it’s a completely badass update, the look might be a hard pill to swallow, especially for those who weren’t too thrilled with his suit in Captain America: Civil War and Homecoming. But if you think about it, how is a teenager in High School with a latex type suit and some snazzy tricks suppose to fight an otherworldly being like Thanos who now holds the most powerful weapon in the universe? As well s look cool next to a few of his heroic role models?

As you can see below, a high-res image of the final moments of Homecoming has been released online, giving us a fantastic look at what Tony Stark cooked up for his prodigy. The color combination is incredible. The darker red with the combo of navy and gold equals for a classic, yet new take on our favorite web-head. But what else would we expect from Stark? So while we wait to see what kind of badass new tricks Parker can do with the Iron Spider suit, take a long hard look at it below in the new image. Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on May 4th, 2018.
