New’ Blade Runner 2049′ Trailer Is Easily the Best One Yet

Warner Bros. has given us quite a treat this morning ahead of this weekend’s Comic Con, and that comes in the form of a brand new Blade Runner 2049 trailer! The long-wanted sequel takes place 30 years after the events of the original, where we find Ryan Gosling’s K, a LAPD Officer who has unearthed a secret that spells catastrophe for society. K’s quest leads him on the hunt for former LAPD Blade Runner who has been missing for 30 years.

On board. Count me in. Blown away. I continue love everything I see from this film, and that all falls on the shoulders of Denis Villeneuve. He can do no wrong at this point. Not only have I enjoyed every single one of his films, but I love the next one even more than I did the last. He continues to get better as a director, and that’s with creating something completely different from what he did before. This entry, it looks like a fantastic mixture of what came before, but with that Villeneuve flair stapled on the front. It looks compelling, it looks dark, exciting, thrilling, and a total spectacle that won’t only blow your brain away with visuals, but turn it into ooze with what kind of story points he has for us.

The trailer not only reveals a ton of new things we’ve yet to see from the sequel, but it does so in a very mysterious way. I still have no f**king clue as to what to expect from this movie. Sure, I now know a little bit about the story, but is that really what it’s going to be about? Jared Leto’s character looks like he’s the creator of the famous replicants, but as the trailer says, he just has the lock, whereas Harrison Ford’s Deckard has the key. If that’s really what’s going on, that’s some damn intriguing story ideas. Even more reason why this film is my second most anticipated film for the rest of 2017.

Check out the new trailer below and after doing so, head down to the comments and let me know what you think. Did you like the original? How about the tailer for 2049 so far? What intrigues you the most? Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 is released on October 6th, 2017 and stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, and Robin Wright.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
