This is something you may not have realized, but Wonder Woman is now officially a month away from hitting the big screen. After being created 75 years ago, the greatest female superhero will finally make her solo film debut with the Patty Jenkins’ film, which stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince in the origin story for the daughter of Zeus, who must leave and travel to the outside world for the first time when her home and world at large are threatened, taking her first steps to becoming the hero that is Wonder Woman.
No matter how you felt about Batman v Superman or the role of Diana for that matter, the trailers for Wonder Woman almost feel like a changing of the guard for Warner Bros. and DC. Could they have learned from their mistakes and actually made a good DCEU movie? We’ll found out in a month, but the trailers definitely give off that vibe. The only issue is that DC is insanely good at marketing and making the public believe that the movie will be absolutely killer. And unfortunately, we have two big examples that basically Michael Bay-ed us, leaving us almost empty inside. Hopefully third time’s a charm…
Any-hoo, a whole bunch of new goodies have been released for the highly, highly anticipated film, which reveal a whole lot of new looks for Jenkins’ film. As WB and DC usually does, a fourth (and hopefully final) trailer has been released, which will no doubt get fans and movie-goers everywhere excited as all hell to finally see the wondrous Diana Prince kick ass on the big screen. Along with the new trailer I’ve attached the latest TV spots that have been released, which also include a few bits of new footage, and the newest batch of images to hit the web, featuring looks at just a few of the characters that will be alongside Diana.
What do you say readers? How excited are you for Wonder Woman? Have DC’s struggles turned you off of their universe or are you still holding out for greatness from these characters? Jenkins’ Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2nd, 2017 and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, and Saïd Taghmaoui.
Raised on the mythical island of Themyscira and trained by Amazonian warriors, a young woman named Diana fulfills a destiny long ago bestowed on her by the Gods when her home and the world at large is threatened, she must leave and travel to the outside world for the first time. In doing so she will take the first steps to becoming the hero that is Wonder Woman…
