See More Kurt Russell in a Set of New ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ TV Spots

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now just one week out from its release! The anticipation is at an all-time high, and its well deserved because the footage to this point has been awesome. I mean, it’s the Guardians of the Galaxy, could there really be anything bad about it?

With the film’s release now just around the corner, the time for new trailers is over, but to keep the interest among audiences across the world, they must put together some new stuff, right? That’s where TV spots come in. Usually, I’m against releasing over two dozen spots throughout its marketing, but Marvel has always kept the good stuff under wraps when it comes to their properties, especially Guardians of the Galaxy. While I have yet to and won’t click play on any of the spots below, I’m confident that nothing major, or even minor, is revealed through new footage. Keeping in line with other videos earlier in its run, I can see these quick spots being a fast-paced chuck of footage that only makes the film look that much more fun. Again, its the Guardians of the Galaxy, could there really be anything bad about it?

One thing I can see just from the thumbnails is the video is that slightly more footage of Kurt Russell is being revealed as it release gets closer. That’s because one of two reason. First, it’s a ploy to get more butts in the seat, as Kurt Russell is a man among boys. Two, and hopefully its the more likely of the two, his part is much bigger than we first realized. Maybe them showing more of Russell Ego the Living Planet means he has a pretty sizable role in the sequel. One can hope at least, right?

Check out the new spots below and after doing so, let me know your thoughts on Vol. 2 in the comments. How pumped are you? More excited than the first? Who are you looking forward to the most? James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters next weekend on May 5th, 2017.
