Not just for us Star Wars fans, but everyone, the passing of Carrie Fisher is still something we’re recovering from. She has been in our lives for so long as not just our favorite Princess, but one of the most wonderful human beings this world has ever seen.
The larger question has always been how her character of (now) General Leia Organa would continue in the galaxy far, far away. Each day brings us closer to that answer, but today, that doesn’t matter. Star Wars Celebration began today down in Orlando, Florida, which was kicked off with the 40 year celebration panel for the greatest saga to ever live. While the panel brought a number of things, including a special appearance by legendary composer John Williams, the highlight was by far a standing ovation appearance by Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, and the tribute video that followed, which will not only bring a few tears to your eyes, but give you a one-of-a-kind smile.
The video also features our very first look at Leia in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is our first official look at the highly anticipated sequel. Check it out below and stay tune here at Apocaflix! for all the big Star Wars that’s (hopefully) released this weekend:
