New ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Set Photos Tease Corvus Glaive & the Black Order

Although Avengers: Infinity War will finally feature the face-to-face confrontation between the Avengers and Thanos, the question has always been whether or not Thanos will be bringing some friends to fight with him. Well, according to a new batch of set photos, we may now know at least one other baddie Thanos could be bringing with him to Earth next year.

Filming is and has been underway on the new gigantic Marvel cinematic universe entry and while we’re all focused on the bringing together of all our favorite MCU heroes, it seems Marvel and the Russo brothers have quietly snuck another villain into the story without us knowing: Corvus Glaive. Glaive is one of Thanos’ most trusted and ruthless servants, and along with Black Dwarf, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, and Supergiant, are known as the Black Order and carry out thy bidding of the Mad Titan.

While the actor is in a motion-capture suit and no official confirmation has come from any side, the staff and its unique features are a clear indiction that this character is in Corvus Glaive. While it may be too much to ask for the entire Black Order, in this movie at least, I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least two members (bring in Proxima Midnight!) of Thanos’ team of bad guys show up. Take a look at the batch of set photos below and let me know who you think the character is if not Glaive. Which other character would you want to see show up alongside Thanos and Glaive? Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4th, 2018.
