‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Character Posters Released; Watch New Footage

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now just over a month away! 2017 marks the first year we’ll be seeng three Marvel movies on the release calendar, with James Gunn’s highly anticipated sequel slated to hit first. While the MCU has been kicking for nearly a decade now, we just can’t get enough of it because of how different each film is from the last, with the Guardians franchise standing above the rest.

When this franchise was announced, it seemed very odd, just out of left field. But now, years later, it may be the franchise the everyday movie going audience looks forward to the most. Now for the sequel, it’s gotten even wackier and crazy, which means better. Baby Groot, Nebula joining the Guardians, and Kurt Russell as Chris Pratt’s father? Come on, it’s not even fair to other comic book movies. The footage has looked spectacular, on par or even better than the original. And if you didn’t know already, the film scored a very rare perfect 100 in test screenings, which takes the anticipation to a whole new level.

New footage has been released for the sequel, thanks to one-minute trailer and the latest, extended TV spot. Each video is a good combination between footage we’ve seen and haven’t seen, with the latter being minor to stay away from spoilers. Check out the new videos and character posters below and after doing so, let me know what you think in the comments. How excited are you for Vol. 2? Which character are you looking forward to the most? Gunns Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th, 2017.
