Hey Look, Another Outrageously Long Trailer for ‘The Fate of the Furious’ Has Been Released

Universal has released a brand new trailer for F. Gary Gray’s upcoming entry into the Fast & Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious, and strap in, because it’s just as long and outrageous as its previous trailer. Rather than give Dominic Teretto and his family a new adversary to take on at some exotic location, Gray has changed the game and put family against family as Dom is seduced into a world of crime and betrayal when a mysterious woman appears from his past.

I won’t beat around the bush on this one, I’m pretty bummed out on how this new Fast movie is looking so far. Granted, it is only trailers and the movie could very well end up killer, but solely going off of what I’ve seen, I’m pretty disappointed. Sure, the action looks big and explosive, and even steps its game up from the last movie (as each have done), but it just feels like a spoof on the series. It feels completely out-of-place compared to the last few movies, and I know that this is technically suppose to “kick-off” a new trilogy, but that doesn’t mean you take the story to a pretty unbelievable place.

Anyway, check out the new, still super long trailer for the latest Fast movie below. And after doing so, let us know your thoughts in the comments. Does it look as ridiculous to you as it does me? Or are you totally on board for the next Fast adventure? F. Gary Gray’s The Fate of the Furious smashes into theaters on April 14th, 2017 and stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life.  But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.
