Kong Stands Tall in 4 New Clips for ‘Kong: Skull Island’

As Kong: Skull Island gets closer and closer, I continue to get more and more excited with each day. Most of that is because I’m going absolutely bonkers over how freakin’ awesome the movie looks, but the other part of that is because we’ve now stepped away from releasing trailers and moved on to revealing official clips, featurettes, and much more. As for what follows, it’s all about the brand new clips that have been revealed, all of which are exciting as all hell!

I’ll be honest, I haven’t actually watched any of the footage I’ve included below, and I won’t. I’m the type of person that once I’m sold on a movie through trailers, I stay away from any other official footage (doesn’t include featurettes or b-roll footage) because I want to save as much as possible for that theater experience, and that DEFINITELY goes for Skull Island.

From the moment I saw anything on this film, I knew it was going to be one of my most anticipated films of whichever year it came out. And for it to rank where it does in such a year as 2017, it had to have made a magnificent first impression. But not just first, it continues to impress me everyday, as it looks like a monster movie we’ve been waiting for, a la Logan to the superhero/comic book genre. The cast is outrageous, Kong looks massive, and quite possibly the best aspect of the movie is how it looks to blend action and a horror/thriller style in the best way possible.

I’m sitting down, strapped in, and completely ready to watch a fiery explosion of a movie put one giant smile on my face. Are you? Check out the brand new clips below, if you dare, and after doing so let us know what you think in the comments. Are you as excited as I am? What about it tips you one way or the other? Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island hits theaters March 10th, 2017 and stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, and John C. Reilly.

In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific – as beautiful as it is treacherous – unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.
