New ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Featurette Brings the Beauty to Life

When it comes to Disney’s animated classics to live-action properties, a look of beauty is always involved. But just how is that task completed? With Beauty and the Beast just a few weeks away, the marketing campaign has taken a step back from revealing any new footage (which I hope continues), and turned their focus on more behind-the-scenes action. In its latest, we see how Bill Condon and his crew were able to bring this beloved tale to life.

I’ve been completely on board with this film from the get-go. Before I saw any footage or images or anything, the success of Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book is what had me hop on board this train from the start. Then the cast was announced, which was followed by a killer teaser trailer and the rest was history. So much so that I bought myself an IMAX ticket for this film last week, which is by far the biggest and most expensive way to see a film. I also saw The Jungle Book in IMAX and although Beauty and the Beast isn’t as…adventurous I guess you could say, I know the kind of spectacle Disney can bring to the screen, a kind of spectacle that should be watched in IMAX.

Check out thew new featurette below and after doing so, let us know what kind of excitement level you have for it. Are you over the moon for it or just mildly looking forward to it? Bill Condon’s Beauty and the Beast is released on March 17th, 2017 and stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Ian McKellan, Ewan McGregor, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Emma Thompson.

Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
