‘Suicide Squad’ Honest Trailer Is a Serious Ass-Whooping

I don’t think there is a a studio happier than Warner Bros. that 2017 is finally here. Not just because Wonder Woman is finally coming to the big screen or that their DC super-team will finally as well, but because 2016 was an unexpected disappointment. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice can be talked and debated about as it has been for the last nine months, but that disappointment is absolutely nothing compared to that of Suicide Squad.

Suicide Squad had everything in its favor. An unknown property, and interesting cast of character, an outstanding cast, and a director that has proven himself enough time before. But in the downright shocker of the year, David Ayer’s film went belly up, becoming quite possibly the biggest disappointment of 2016. No one will really be able to figure out why it ended up the way it did, although we can talk and debate about that just as much as Batman v Superman, but it’s a real mystery as to why it’s as bad as it is.

Nothing against those who like to thoroughly enjoyed the movie, to each their own, but the majority of those who watched it think one viewing is plenty for DC’s latest. Now because it truly was one of the most hyped movies of 2016 and ended up being such a flatline, Screen Junkies has done what they do best, given it their honest trailer treatment, and man is it a doozy.

From blasting its pre-release struggles to comparing Jared Leto’s Joker to Ace Ventura and its outrageous and pretty ridiculous over-the-top mentality, this is a honest tailer that should not be missed. Check it out below and let us know your thoughts in the comments. If you liked the movie, how do you feel about the honest trailer? If you didn’t like it, do agree with their arguments? David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD.
