New ‘Fast 8’ Featurette Teases the “Most Ambitious & Entertaining” Ride Yet

The Fast & Furious franchise may be one of the most entertaining and unique series of blockbusters we’ve ever seen. With its endless possibility attitude and idea of family that takes place on screen, but even more so off screen is a mentality that is rarely ever seen in the film business. That’s why it’s so interesting to hear that co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson were having some words off-set. But that’s in the past as the two have come together with the rest of their co-stars in a new featurette to announce when we can see the first official trailer for the eight installment in the franchise.

When the movie was first announced, Diesel announced that the setting would partly take place in New York City, which is where the cast will be headed this weekend to reveal the first real look at Fast 8 on Sunday, December 11th over Facebook. To get fans ready, Universal and the Fast & Furious team have released a new featurette that gives us a great new look at the team’s new adversary, Charlize Theron’s Cipher. The featurette has many scenes cut together that are more than likely out of order, but it teases that Dom and Cipher have some kind of history, which could make for an interesting dynamic.

Check out the new footage below and make are to come back this weekend when the first trailer is released. Fast 8 is directed by Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray and stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kristofer Hivju, Scott Eastwood, Kurt Russell, and Helen Miren.
