Preview ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ with New Clips & Featurettes

Well Harry Potter fans, it’s almost your time to reign once again. The highly-aniticpated Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is now just hours away from being released here in the U.S., which will mark the ninth film to take place in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world. At this point, we’ve seen pretty much everything we’ve needed to see to decide whether we’re excited or not for the David Yates directed, Eddie Redmayne starred film that takes place 70 plus years before Potter, Hermoine, and Ron took back the world of magic from the Dark Lord.

While the film isn’t expected to make Harry Potter numbers, but the buzz around it has been pretty solid, which indicates that this new, familiar but unfamiliar franchise from Warner Bros, Rowling, and Yates will make quite an impact in multiple categories going forward for the next few weeks. Me personally, I’m dmn excited for this one. Although I’m not considered a “Potterhead,” I’ve always enjoyed the franchise, especially the back half, which was directed by Yates. And what’s smart about Fantastic Beasts is that it isn’t continuing the Potter story, rather creating something completely new with brand new characters that we’ve never met before. That’s what makes it so attractive. If you didn’t like the Harry Potter movies but liked the concept, maybe Fantastic Beasts is it for you. And if you are a fan of the franchise, then this is obviously the type of film you’re looking for.

The trailers have been solid, the cast is pretty damn amazing, and the director/writer combo is as solid as it gets (especially for this film). Because I’m seeing it tonight, I don’t plan on watching any of the following videos because I’m just hours away from being able to see it on the big screen, and I don’t want anything spoiled. But if you have to wait a few days or aren’t completely sold on the film yet, maybe these videos will do their job and get you a bit more excited than you have been. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens this weekend on November 18th, 2016.
