Warner Bros. has officially released an amazing second trailer for their upcoming Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman. Starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, the new trailer showcases a beautiful looking and very exciting action adventure DC standalone with World War I as its backdrop. Gadot’s Prince/Wonder Woman teams up with Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor to go fight the war that is (was?) suppose to end all wars in what looks like an incredibly thrilling origin.
Compared to the teaser trailer released at Comic-Con, this new trailer can be described as the first official trailer for the film, as her origin and the story are placed front and center. As I said above, the origin scripted for Wonder Woman looks fantastic, one I am far more interested than anything I saw from DC’s most recent Batman v Superman. Not to mention it’ll be the biggest film to date (blockbuster or not) featuring a female lead.
Director Patty Jenkins and the team she worked with seemed to have crafted a film that will give the greatest super-heroine of all-time the big screen justice she deserves, while also weaving her story into DC’s Extended Universe. Get excited people, Diana Prince is coming and plans on making a big statement.
