Those who loved Daisy Ridley’s performance as Rey Skywalker in The Force Awakens won’t have to wait much longer to see more from the actress. Since her breakout role, the young star has been signing up for various upcoming projects, with directors such as Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) and now Kenneth Branagh.

Ridley has joined the latter of the two mentioned directors in an adaptation of the novel Murder on the Orient Express, written by Agatha Christie. To make this project even more exciting, Ridley will be joined by Johnny Depp and Judi Dench to fill out an already impressive ensemble.

Murder on the Orient Express revolves around a mysterious murder that takes place aboard a famous train. A detective named Hercule Poirot is tasked with solving the case, which has numerous suspects linked to the murder.

No word on which roles each cast member will play, but I’m also not concerned due to the level of talent Depp and Ridley posses that make me confident they can play ANYTHING. I’ve also become quite the fan of Branagh’s work as a director, especially after his commercially successful films, such as Cinderella and Thor. Also starring in the film is Michael Pena, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Branagh himself (as Detective Poirot).

We’re a little over a month until production begins, which means we can expect a release date sometime next winter. Stay tuned on updates for this project.
