4 Trailers from the Past Week

Just like two weeks ago, this last week was filled with brand new trailers. It seemed like there was a big trailer released every day, leaving it very tough to cover each of them. But lucky for us here at Apocaflix!, we have this post where we can give those trailers a shot to be seen by those who may have missed them.

With the Fall/Oscar season just weeks away, I tried my best to cover the first trailer and give it its own post. It deserves its own post. But being on the tight schedule that I am on, I had no choice but to include it on this list. The trailer for Nocturnal Animals isn’t a trailer that many people will understand or possibly even like, but it’s a film that everyone needs to see. Not only are both Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal getting buzz from the film, but it’s from acclaimed writer/director Tom Ford. This is definitely one to look out for in the coming months.

Along with Nocturnal Animals, three very different type of movies are included, with the comedy, romance, and horror genre’s on display. Check out the new trailers below.

Nocturnal Animals

Release date: December 9th, 2016.

The plot is described as a “story inside a story,” with the first part following a woman named Susan who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, a man whom she left 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion. The second part of the story follows the actual manuscript, called “Nocturnal Animals,” which revolves around a man whose family vacation turns violent and deadly. It also continues to follow the story of Susan, who finds herself recalling her first marriage and confronting some dark truths about herself.

Release date: January 27th, 2017.

Ed Helms and Owen Wilson play Peter and Kyle Reynolds, two brothers whose eccentric mother (Glenn Close) raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out to find their real father, learning more about their mother than they probably ever wanted to know.

Fifty Shades Darker

When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

The Bye Bye Man

Release date: 2017.

A horror-thriller that exposes the evil behind the most unspeakable acts committed by man. When three college friends stumble upon the horrific origins of the Bye Bye Man, they discover that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don’t think it, don’t say it. But once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control. Is there a way to survive his possession?
