Wow it’s been a while! It’s been weeks on weeks since I’ve done a 4 Trailers post, and it couldn’t have come at a better time to return. If you haven’t caught one of these before, the idea behind this post is to pull together a handful of trailers that don’t get the spotlight each week. In other words, while movies like Star Wars or the latest Spielberg film gets the major buzz, some trailers take a back seat, this is the post where they are put front and center.
The first trailer we have is definitely the most note worthy, as many around the movie-verse are already penciling it in as an Award-season favorite. Lion stars Dev Patel and Rooney Mara in a true story based film that follows a young Indian boy who was adopted by an Australian couple after being lost on the streets on Calcutta. 25 years later, he returns and sets out to find his lost family. The trailer itself is just riveting, skyrocketing the film among the list of my most anticipated for the rest of 2016. Lion is definitely one we’ll be talking about for the next couple months.
The other three trailers are no slouches (maybe one…). First is A Dog’s Purpose, which is a trailer that has been hitting home with the average movie-going audience across the world. It looks like a movie that features a ton of heart, as we all love our four legged creatures. But that’s not it, the other two trailers are The Last Descent, which is based on an incredible true story, and the Kate Beckinsale led thriller The Disappointments Room. Take a look at the new batch of trailers below and let us know your thoughts on them in the comments.
