Amber Heard Quiets Haters By Donating Her Entire Divorce Settlement to Charity

Celebrity breakups in Hollywood normally isn’t something I blog about, but I’m making an exception for this one. For awhile now, the divorce between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been in the public spotlight. Its been an ugly road for both parties towards finally reaching a settlement this week. Heard has previously made claims of domestic violence, while Depp has made counterclaims of financial blackmailing. The two have gone back and forth for weeks, before finally reaching a settlement that sees Heard being paid $7 million dollars. Great for her, right? It gets even better.

During the entire span of the divorce hearings, Heard has continuously been criticized by thousands of people. She’s been called such things as “gold digger”, “a slut, with no talent”, “drama queen”, the insults go on and on. Through it all, she’s remained quiet, letting her actions speak for her. Well recently, Heard did something that can only be described as “incredible” and “unselfish”. She donated all $7 million dollars from her divorce settlement to charity. According to the reports, each half of the settlement will equally go to the American Civil Liberties Union, specifically to prevent violence against women, and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. How’s that for a “gold digger”?

As someone who’s viewing their nasty split from the outside, I applaud Heard. Got nothing but love for Johnny Depp, he’s one of the greatest actors of all-time, but she’s proven a lot in the past 48 hours. Now pull yourself together Heard, fly to London, and report to the set of Justice League. Atlantis and Aquaman need their queen!
