First ‘Office Christmas Party’ Trailer: Holiday Shenanigans with Jason Bateman, T. J. Miller & Company

Paramount has released the first trailer for their upcoming holiday comedy Office Christmas Party. As is the case with almost all comedies, the title clearly spells out the premise. The Switch directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon stepped behind the camera for the Jason Bateman and T.J. Miller led comedy, where a Branch Manager an this Chief Technical Officer rally their co-workers and host an epic office christmas party in an effort to impress a potential client and close a sale to save their jobs after his CEO sister tries to close his branch.

The following trailer is a bunch of quick, sharp cuts, but it’s also quite a bit of fun. The ensemble cast is solid and trailer does a great job of focusing on two viewpoints: the chaotic and wild side, led by Miller and Kate McKinnon, and the normal, simple side, led by Bateman and Jennifer Aniston. There’s no doubt that Bateman, Aniston, and their co-star Olivia Munn are more publicly known, but putting Miller and McKinnon front and center is a smart move as they will no doubt be the life of the party. Miller has been quietly killing it for years with roles on HBO’s Silicon Valley and even earlier this year in Deadpool, and McKinnon is one of the best parts of a somewhat dull time for Saturday Night Live, as well as being a scene stealer of the Ghostbusters reboot.

Check out the new trailer below and don’t forget to give us your thoughts in the comments. How’d you feel about the trailer? Is this your kind of comedy? What about the cast? Office Christmas Party hits theaters December 9th, 2016 and stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, T.J. Miller, Jillian Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Kate McKinnon, and Jennifer Aniston.
