First ‘Kong: Skull Island’ Trailer Takes Size to a Whole New Level

Warner Bros. has been quite busy today! It was their turn at SDCC this afternoon and after unloading their DC properties, which was full of new trailers for all their upcoming tittles (including Justice League), they moved on to one of their upcoming movies that has a lot of folks excited: Kong: Skull Island. King Kong is one of the most coveted franchises in history and after the announcement that this reboot would be intertwined with the Godzilla movies, fans reacted like wildfire.

Fast forward to now and we have a first trailer for the upcoming action fantasy movie. It’s directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and stars a very talented cast with names like Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Toby Kebbel, John C. Reilly, and more. It’s placed on Skull Island during the Vietnam War and as far as Kong’s size goes, you’ll just have to watch the following trailer to find out. It’s a pretty impressive trailer, one that got me pretty pumped up. You can see the ties to Godzilla as this teaser keeps Kong from being completely shown, but you can definitely tell just how big this animal is. I just hope they don’t go full Godzilla and keep the monster closed off during the movie.

Watch the exciting first trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Are you looking forward to another King Kong story? What about Kong: Skull Island gets your interested? How about that trailer though? Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island hits theaters March 10th, 2017 and stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Toby Kebbel, John C. Reilly, Thomas Mann, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, and John Ortiz.
