Great comedies are a rare thing these days. Sure, there are some awesome, really funny movies out there, but looking at the overall picture, are there that many compared to how many come out? It seems like we’re always talking about how not funny a movie was or how much better it could have been rather than the opposite. Hopefully that’s not the case with the summers latest comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
Now the trailers haven’t been great or anything, but they’ve had their moments. I’ve become a big fan of Zac Efron lately, but not so much as his on-screen brother Adam Devine. So, of course, like every movie, there’s things I’m looking forward to and not looking forward to. But just like every movie, I’m still going in with a little bit of hope, hoping I can walk out of the theater satisfied with the time and money I spent on this summer’s biggest comedy.
The movie was released in theaters today and before heading out to get a laugh or two or ten, check out a number of new clips which preview the movie and its style of comedy. See the clips below. What do you say? Are you looking forward to the movie? Have the trailers turned you off or got you excited? Jake Szymanski’s Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates hit theaters today and stars Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Anna Kendrick, and Aubrey Plaza.
