Whatever you may think about the new, rebooted Ghostbusters, it’s still coming. And although the trailers haven’t really swayed any movie-goers, the movie still has a pretty solid team in place. Paul Feig is currently one of the better comedy directors working today, with such names like last year’s Spy, The Heat, and Bridesmaids. And when Feig revealed that this Ghostbusters would feature an all-female team, everyone pointed to two names right away – Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig.
Two names that Feig has continuously used through his projects, they were no-brainers. The question then became, who does Feig get to round out the team? That answer came from their SNL roots, where Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones were cast as the final members of the Ghostbusters. Now from the trailers and footage we’ve seen, we have a pretty good idea of who these characters are and what kind of role they’ll be playing in the movie. But now, thanks to a number of featurettes, we have a behind-the-scenes look at the characters, as well as a little background from those playing them.
Take a look at the new featurettes below, as well as one focusing on the Ecto-1. What do you think? How have you liked the trailers so far? Are you looking forward to it? Or are you going in with low expectations? Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters scares theaters on July 15th, 2016 and stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth.
