Filming on Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder’s Justice League has been underway for quite some time now. And this morning saw a flurry of news dropped by the top entertainment sites around, revealing many details on the next DCEU film, including set reports, story details, and interviews with such names as Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck. Stay tuned here at Apocalfix! for not only a number of posts later today, but a plethora of more throughout the week covering all the news Warner Bros. will be unveiling. As for this post, we’ll be talking about the official logo and synopsis that was revealed earlier this morning.
You can see the official logo for the franchise above, in both black and white forms. As for its look, it’s a pretty clean cut look, having some very close similarities to its look in the past, but also having an update for the first ever DC Cinematic Universe. As for the official synopsis, that goes as follows:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
You’ll see in a later post, but the “newly awaken threat” teased in the synopsis is actually one that’s set-up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Steppenwolf. And from the words above, it seems like Affleck’s Batman and Gadot’s Wonder Woman will be leading the charge for these newly assembled heroes, something we quickly saw in Batman v Superman. The big question now becomes how Superman fits into this, you know, being “dead” and all? My guess, they pull from the comics and the Justice League actually have to go up against Superman who is under Steppenwolf’s control, where he eventually turns back into the ultimate Boy Scout joining the Justice League in saving the planet.
As I said above, stay tuned here on the site for a plethora of posts today and the rest of the week covering all things Justice League. Until then, check out this awesome new image of the Batmobile on-set of the film. Zack Snyder’s Justice League hits theaters November 17th, 2017 and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller, Amber Heard, and J.K. Simmons.
