Welcome back to Showdown Sunday #36
Every week we pit two movie related forces (characters, movies, directors, etc) against each other and you guys vote who wins (via. Fan Poll).
We’ve now had SIX FILMS featuring the characters of Professor Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr (a.k.a Magneto). In the original X-Men trilogy, both characters were portrayed by the great Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart. When the franchise reboot happened a few years ago, nobody thought these two actors could be replaced. But then came James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, who really made the characters their own, and convinced everyone that they were the younger versions of the Professor Xavier and Magneto we know and love.
Through six films I ask Which Character Do You Think Had The Stronger Portrayal?
Maybe one set of actors did more for their character, than the other? Or maybe one character’s portrayal was more faithful to the comics? Considering all six films (X-Men, X2: X-Men United, The Last Stand, First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse), and using your best judgement, which duo takes the title for their character? Place your vote below, and as always if you enjoyed this week’s SHOWDOWN, then share with your followers and get their opinions.
