Watch the Evolution of Captain America, Iron Man & Spider-Man Before Seeing Them On-Screen Together in ‘Captain America: Civil War’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen many stories and characters over the years. From the very beginning with Iron Man to last year’s surprise hit Ant-Man, not just the stories and characters, but the MCU itself has seen a great evolution. There are tons of videos out there chronicling the MCU movie by movie, leading straight into Captain America: Civil War, but what’s hardly being talked about are the central characters of the story.

While they are wrapped up in the overall story, the evolution or story arc of the central characters of Captain America and Iron Man are what have made this universe go. Iron Man kicked off the MCU, where there was an idea, and Captain America has stepped into the Avengers leadership role and arguably has the most game changing film in the MCU so far with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. There run in the MCU has been nothing short of amazing, but what does it look like outside of this universe? There’s no doubt that we’re all waiting to see where these characters go during and after Civil War this weekend, but Burger Fiction on YouTube took it a step further. They’ve collected footage from every on-screen appearance from these characters, both television and film. And because Civil War features (FINALLY, YES) the MCU debut of one web-slinging teenager, they’ve done the same for Spider-Man as well.

Check out the evolution of Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man below. After doing so, head down to the comments and let us know your thoughts on the montage videos, as well as your anticipation for Captain America: Civil War. Who or what are you most excited to see? Cap vs Stark? Black Panther? Spider-Man? Which side are you on? Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War hits theaters this weekend, May 6th, 2016.
