Marvel. Captain America. Iron Man. Captain America: Civil War. The MCU’s latest juggernaut is nearly here, with just a matter of days separating us and the pure epicness that it will no doubt be. We’ve seen the footage, the posters, which characters partake, and so on. But one thing I personally always look forward to during a marketing run, especially one of this size, is the release of the official b-roll footage.
For those who are new to the term “b-roll”, it’s basically videos capturing the production of the film. So all that footage being shown in trailers and TV spots, b-roll footage goes behind-the-scenes of the filming of those scenes. You can see how scenes are made, watch as actors and directors run through dialogue or the scene and its setting. It’s some pretty damn interesting stuff, and for a movie like Civil War, a movie I’ve been waiting years for, I’m very interested in the production process of it. Plus, for those who have a hard time waiting, the videos feature new looks.
So what are you really waiting for? Check out the b-roll footage videos below. And because its release is just days away, I’ve attached a number of the latest TV spots released. Watch at your own risk of spoilers. Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War hits theaters this Friday, May 6th, 2016.
