Matt Damon Returns in the Badass New Trailer for ‘Jason Bourne’

When it was announced that both Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass were returning for a third Bourne movie together, I think it’s safe to say that I wasn’t the only one who was over the moon excited. While Doug Liman did a fantastic job setting up a franchise with The Bourne Identity, it was Greengrass who made it what it is today with The Bourne Supremacy and easily one of the best action movies ever made in The Bourne Ultimatum. Since then, we’ve been asking, begging really for another Damon/Greengrass Bourne movie, and last year we finally got our wish.

Universal did the perfect thing by dropping the first bits of footage during the Super Bowl back in February. Not only was it flying under the radar, but the anticipation for a full-length trailer was insane following that TV spot. And after a few months, we finally get our follow-up look at the new film with the first Jason Bourne trailer. And honestly, all I can really say is that it’s damn good to see Jason Bourne back and kicking all kinds of ass in the process.

Watch the new trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Are a franchise fan of the Bourne series? Are you just as pumped as I am for the reteaming of Damon and Greengrass? What was your favorite moment from the trailer? Paul Greengrass’ Jason Bourne hits theaters July 29th, 2016 and stars Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles, Vincent Cassel, Riz Ahmed, and Tommy Lee Jones alongside Matt Damon.

Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. The film finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.
