Russell Crowe & Ryan Gosling Go to Therapy in Amazing Viral Marketing for ‘The Nice Guys’

Although it’s great to have a summer full of comic book movies and other gigantic blockbusters, The Nice Guys could not be plotted in a better spot. The Shane Black film has been on my watchlist from the very beginning, easily establishing a spot on my Top 5 most anticipated films of 2016. And if you’ve ever seen Russell Crowe & Ryan Gosling in The Nice GuysKiss Kiss Bang Bang, you know exactly why. Because of trailers and the undeniable chemistry between stars Russel Crowe and Ryan Gosling, my anticipation for The Nice Guys is at an all-time high, and it just got higher.

That phenomenal chemistry I spoke about above has already been showcased in trailers, but now that chemistry is given a different kind of spotlight as the duo has turned their talents to a series of viral marketing videos where they enter therapy. The setup for the videos is that Crowe and Gosling are going to therapy to prepare for the films press tour, where they’ll no doubt spend quite a bit of time together. And while many viral marketing campaigns are usually throwaways, you can easily tell that Crowe and Gosling are just having a damn good time being together, creating some very fun moments for us fans.

Watch the new videos below and let us know what you think of them in the comments. Have you been looking forward to The Nice Guys from the get-go or has it slowly been growing on you? What about these new videos? Shane Black’s The Nice Guys opens May 20th, 2016 and stars Russel Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Kim Basinger, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, and Ty Simpkins.

The Nice Guys takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star.  During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
